Tooth Exposure

Your orthodontist or dentist may refer you to Dr. Bender to expose an unerupted tooth.  Your initial exam with Dr. Bender will include an evaluation of the area and dental xrays.  You will learn about the procedure and the expectations both during and after the procedure is complete. 

The procedure entails numbing the area and usually bonding an orthodontic bracket/chain to the tooth.  Your orthodontist will then have the ability to guide your tooth into the proper position.
